B is for Big Girl Bailey

Yesterday, I took a personal day and avoided the chaos of the roads. An excuse to stay at home my with people I love the most, sounds good to me! Chris and I spent our day acting like Cinderella and her handsome prince scrubbing the wood floors (which, I might add, look amazing!). Then as Chris was leaving for work, I decide to break out Bailey's high chair since I knew we were going to be switching to solids soon (we got the ok from her doctor last month).

**bad mom alert** I had actually given her a spoon full of some gelato that I might or might not have ran out to buy last weekend due to someone's (carolyn) instagram photo. I like ice cream so I figured Bailey probably would too - surprise, she loved it!

Here's a little recap of our first experience with solids - rice cereal with formula, yuuuum ;)

This new chair is so exciting!
Wait?! We're gonna what with the what??
Don't make eye contact! Don't make eye contact! She'll forget you're here - you.are.invisible!
Oooh, she's making some crazy noises now and swirling the spoon around - that's interesting!
Ok, maybe we can try this...
Oh, gotcha! Haha
Ok, ok - let me see this thing
Hmmm, this is interesting
Oh, mom! You made such a mess on my face - how embarrassing!
Cheeeeese!
Ok, we'll take a pic for the blog - just make sure none of the embarrassing ones make it on there ;)

Happy Friday!

  1. Haha these are so cute! It's so funny to watch them eat solids for the first time. They are so confused :)

  2. I know I say this all the time, but what a cutie! She is seriously the happiest baby I've ever seen.

I can't believe its time for her to eat solid food. Seems like she was just born, being held by Santa at the meetup.

  3. Absolutely adorable. Ditto, Melissa - that look of confusion on their face when you shove a spoon in front of their face is classic. Then their reaction to the food is even better.
