Day 3 of Daddy Daycare

Today marks day 3 of my return to work and Daddy Daycare. It’s been quite a transition from what I’ve been up to the past 2 months, but I feel like it’s been a relatively easy transition back. I was pretty skeptical and hesitant on wanting to come back. I love (most of) my co-workers and the place that I work. Do I feel like what I do is my true calling in life? Nope, not really but for right now it’s what I have and is a safe bet to pay our bills each month. I thought that maybe I could figure out something that I would truly enjoy doing while I had time off, but then I had to care for Bailey and lost time/desire to do much else J
I’m so happy for our little family that Chris has this opportunity to spend the days with Bailey while I’m at work. His main job (he has like 5 different jobs) is running his own landscape (curbing) business in the summer. So until March he will be watching Bailey Mon-Thurs and I have Fridays off from work. This will be such a fun time for him to really bond with Bailey. I think overall he will have so much fun with her, but I know there will be difficult times too. I’ll miss my fun days with her, but know that we have bills to pay and want a great future for our family - so I must work.
Here are some pics that Chris has sent me the past couple days...
From day 1, I think they were having some fun and she loves Fran the fan (we're clever with names)

From day 2, Kirby LOVES cuddling up with her

This is exactly what I pictured their days being filled with :)

Kirby and Bailey...Kirby has pjs on since it's so freakin' cold out

In case anyone is wondering, Oscar is around in these pics but he's a little LOT camera shy. He hates it and he's also very independent and doesn't snuggle with Bailey as much as Kirby. So don't think we don't love Oscar, he just keeps to himself sometimes ;)

Anyways, as you can tell by the above pics Bailey is in great hands while I'm working. I have a ton of pics on my desktop at work to keep me smiling through the day. I love that little stinker!

I also hope that I can catch up on blogging! I've been reading blogs on my phone while feeding her, but don't have the patience to type a comment up on the phone #purelaziness

  1. I pray that our dogs are as awesome with future kiddos as yours are with Bailey. And what a special few months your husband has with his baby girl. Jesse's job allows him 3 months of paid paternity leave, and we are hoping he's able to use it someday.

  2. OH MY GOSH the puppy-daddy-baby photo about killed me. I hope my cats/future puppies are like that. TJ is kind of an asshole and will probably be like "what's this thing and why is it getting more attention?" and step on the baby. lol. Hope the transition keeps going well!

    1. Awww, what a GREAT bonding experience for Daddy and Bailey. My husband was able to spend a few weeks with our 2nd daughter when she was born and those days were so precious to him. Chris looks like an amazing father!! :) Love those puppy/baby snuggles. :)

  4. I'm glad your transitioning back so well! That is exactly our set up now too - the hubby home while I'm working. It's so nice for them to bond! Good luck with the rest of the tranisition. It's okay to think its difficult and to have "Mommy-Guilt" that you're not around enought!
